Nothing determines whether a cabinet finish lasts more than the prep underneath it. Kitchen cabinets carry a film of cooking grease that no coating will bond to, so every surface is degreased, cleaned, and then sanded to give the new finish something to grip. We fill dents and worn edges, mask and contain the work area to control dust, and remove all the hardware rather than cutting around it. This is slow, unglamorous work, and it is exactly the step a rushed job skips and a durable finish depends on.

Sprayed Finishes for a Smooth, Durable Coat

Brush and roller marks are the giveaway of an amateur cabinet job. We spray doors and drawer fronts with cabinet grade coatings that level out to a smooth, even surface with no visible texture, then build the finish in several thin coats so it cures hard enough for daily handling. The products we use are made for high touch surfaces, resisting the fingerprints, cleaning sprays, and knocks that would quickly wear down ordinary wall paint.

Color and Sheen Options

Refinishing is your chance to change the entire character of the room. Crisp whites and soft off whites open a kitchen up, deeper greens, blues, and warm grays add weight and depth, and a two tone layout with a contrasting island has become a favorite for good reason. We also help you settle on a sheen, since the satin and semi gloss finishes typical for cabinets each clean and wear a little differently. Bathrooms in particular punish a finish with constant humidity, so a properly prepped and sprayed vanity holds up far better than the factory coating it replaces.
